My husband and I use to travel when we both had “normal” lives. We worked 5 days a week, M-F, usually 8-5.  The company my husband and I worked for had paid observed holidays, paid vacations and we both had weekends off. When we would travel it was our time to get away together, we looked forward to it and the new memories we would create together. Then I changed jobs, my hubby left his to join a start-up that soon started down, and then was gone. I was quickly promoted at work and we relocated to Florida from California.

Our schedules changed drastically,  and were completely different. In my line of work holidays are rarely observed, and work schedules can be anywhere from 7am to 12 midnight. I usually get my work schedule about a  1/2 month in advance.  For my hubby he has to work around his customer schedules and needs, which seems more like an on call 24/7 work schedule. I dearly miss our “normal” lives and hope that when we are together it will be on the path to normal and we can get back to traveling again.

Together we have been to the UK, Ireland, Spain, Belgium, the Bahamas, and Mexico. There is so much more I want for us to see, and explore together (so we have many stamps to still get on our passports).  The number one stamp that is missing, is Italy, and on our list of things to do while there, is rent a scooter. Hubby would drive and I would hold on looking fabulous.
