The winner of apartment therapy “small/cool 2011″contest teeny tiny division Michael New York 397 sq. ft.

One of the zillion things going on in my head regarding my upcoming move to the big apple is this, “how is this girl going to survive living in a small home?” I’m talking fits one bed small. I’ve only seen pictures of my future home, and ideally it will be temporary, as I need to get settled into work before I take on the task of where I want to live. I sit and take in our current home that is 1400 sq feet, and I think this is a stinking McMansion! Take a deep breath and I think “ok, you have lived small before”, so what if I am kind of reverting backward. It’s worth it….right?  I’ve had some great apartments and homes with space.  But you know when you live in a city with over 8 million people, you’ve got to get creative and realize you’ll may be living small, so that you can live large in the city.
