“The best thing for depression for a woman is to go out and shop” Grace Jones

“In the seventies and eighties we all had our fun, and now and then we went really too far. But ultimately, it required a certain amount of clear thinking, a lot of hard work and good make-up to be accepted as a freak”.

“Artists are suppose to be insecure but I’m not. I feel that if I’m enjoying what I’m doing it doesn’t matter if I make a few mistakes. I’m very open to experimentation. I love to try things, collaborating with my artist friends, experimenting with ideas. That’s what pulls me together with crazy artists, unusual people, even when I’m not looking for it. It is predestined that we cross each others paths”.

“I used to get all my clothes from thrift stores before I could afford more. I was a glamorous hippy. But working with fashion designers as a model for so many years spoiled me. I saw so many beautiful clothes that it just got in my blood. Now when I see something I want, I have to have it. I go to all the designers I use to model for and say It’s all your fault, and take everything from the store”.

“I’ve written a lot of the songs that I’ve recorded and a lot of them are basically short stories. I enjoy writing and it comes easily to me. If it doesn’t then I don’t do it because I don’t have to. I write as a luxury, for fun”.
